About Me

I am a licensed psychologist based in Boston offering compassionate, evidence-based psychological services for children, adolescents, young adults, and families in Massachusetts. My specialties include chronic illness/medical coping, OCD, phobias, anxiety, ADHD, depression, trauma, and eating disorders. I am bilingual (English and Arabic) and have particular interest in serving Arab, Middle Eastern, and North African communities as well as Muslim communities.

Additionally, I provide tailored consultation and workshops for businesses, hospitals, and universities on a number of topics related to social justice, health equity, and anti-racist and culturally responsive practices in healthcare.

Prior to starting my private practice, I was an attending pediatric psychologist at Boston Children’s Hospital and faculty at Harvard Medical School, where I also completed my internship/residency and fellowship. I obtained my PhD in Psychology with an emphasis in school psychology from North Carolina State University. I completed advanced practicum placements at nationally acclaimed institutions during my graduate training, including Duke University, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and the Summer Treatment Program (STP) for ADHD at Florida International University. These clinical experiences are strengthened by a strong research background, including more than 5 years of research scholarship with the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

I utilize a range of evidence-based approaches to treat a range of concerns, including medical coping (e.g., coping with chronic illness, medication adherence, new medical diagnoses, surgeries/procedures, and end-of-life), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), anxiety, phobias, depression, trauma, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), eating disorders, and personality disorders.
